The Rose and the thorn / A Rosa e o espinho

Recently, I read an interview with Michelle Obama where she was saying that they do the rose and thorn game everyday when they gather together for dinner. Each member of the family says what was their rose and their thorn during that day. I don't know if any of you does this but I thought it was an excellent idea and I decided to do it with my family. We've been doing it for the past two weeks and everyone loves doing it. It is a way of going through our day and of sharing it with each other. And we have came to the wonderful conclusion that we can only find one thorn each day but we mention so many roses. How blessed we are!!!

Recentemente, li uma entrevista com Michelle Obama onde ela dizia que a sua família tem o hábito de fazer diariamente, quando se reunem para jantar, o jogo da rosa e do espinho. Cada membro da família diz qual foi o seu espinho e a sua rosa do dia. Não sei se algum de vocês também tem este hábito mas pareceu-me uma ideia excelente e decidi adoptá-la. Estamos a fazê-lo há cerca de duas semanas e todos gostamos de o fazer. É uma forma de analisarmos o nosso dia e de o partilharmos uns com os outros. E chegámos à maravilhosa conclusão de que apenas referimos um espinho por dia mas encontramos várias rosas. Como somos abençoados!!!
