Water saving tips

We are constantly been reminded that we should save water, for environmental and economic reasons. I must say that I've not always been very good at saving water. But now I decided to change this. There are lots of places where you can find good water saving tips but I'll leave you with this one. I still have two difficult areas: I hand-wash dishes under a running tap and while showering, I cannot turn off the water when I shampoo my hair. But there's another tip that I've heard about recently and I'm really saving a lot of water by doing it: while I'm waiting for my shower to heat up, I capture the cold water in a bucket and use it in the toilet or for cleaning.

These are great tips Lara...I also can't turn off the water when I'm shampooing my hair :)

Eu adoro cozinhar, acho que as melhores prendas dadas as professoras dos meus filhos, foram as que fiz em casa, biscoitos e caramelos etc. Adoraram :)

I put a bottle filled with water in the cistern to reduce the amount of water used with each flush, but I still shampoo my hair under running water...
