Award

Marcy, a dear blogger friend from Blessings each day, gave me an award and though I haven't been blogging much lately, I will have to do this because I was very happy to receive this award from someone who I have never met in person, who is a regular and very nice visitor, who has a wonderful blog (you ought to visit her), and who already has a special place in my heart.
Marcy, I know you said that I usually write both in English and in Portuguese (not excellent though!!!) but lately I've been too busy and/or too lazy to post in both languages. Either I choose one or the other!
"This is how the award works: This award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."The award also asks that I tell 7 "random" things about myself. "
Well, let me think about the 7 "random" things about myself. It won't be very easy because I'm too tired (not working though! I have two dear friends from Lincoln, England, visiting me, and we've been busy enjoying the beauties of my country). I just hope I don't fall asleep in front of the computer. And this gets two the first thing about myself:
1- I just love sleeping. I fall asleep very easily and though I don't like to stay in bed all morning, I don't like getting up early. Well, once I'm out of bed and I've had my shower, I feel quite happy for having woken u early. But it is always so difficult to get out of bed!
2- I love cooking. And I love eating as well. And that's why I have a problem with weight. Not a serious problem but I have to do something about it.
3- I will turn 40 next September and I am so excited about it! Life begins at 40....
4- I love the sea. I'm not a good swimmer but I love being in the water. When I'm there, I just think I'm in paradise. And today it was my first day at the beach this year. I don't know who was happier, if it was me or my daughter, who is just like me!
5- Though I love my country (I learned to love it actually because I used to hate it when I was younger), I would love living in England. Don't ask me why! I just love it. I even like the English weather!!!
6- I'm enjoying driving and I never, ever, thought that would be possible.
7- I love singing. When I was a child, I used to say I wanted to be a singer. Well, actually I am! I sing all the time. At home! In the car! And now at church as well!
Now I'm going to choose my eight bloggers. Not an easy task as they are all wonderful!

You did a wonderful job, Lara as I knew you would. It was so nice to learn new things about you, too. I love the water also and always have! Plus I love to cook and bake and it can be a problem (for gaining weight!)

Congratulations to someone who does have a very charming blog!

Hello Lara. Marcy directed me to your blog. It does not matter to me whether you post in English. I will consider it a 'brain challenge' to try and understand what you post in Portuguese. I am close to 70 years old and I want to keep my brain (I typed 'brian' first, that is a male name, haha) as active as I can. I can picture your life and love of your family and the water. It was a mental lift. Blessings and Peace to you. Marlene
