From Passionate Housewives Desperate for God

«Well-meaning people have said that, in our day, we just can't expect all mothers to be at home full-time. I've been told (me too!) that I'm "lucky" to have a husband who makes it possible for me to stay home. I have to wonder how such thinking got a foothold only a few generations after large families were the norm and when the majority of mothers stayed home. What "ideal world" do we imagine existed when God gave His commands for husbands, wives, and families?» Jennie Chancey

I agree. I've wondered how this change came about so quickly too.
