Letters to Juliet

After having my Mum and Sister-in-Law (she's pregnant and I'm finally going to be an aunt!!!!!!!!!!) here with us for lunch, we decided to go to the cinema and we had a great time. I loved this film. Well, I'm a romantic, that's why I loved it. The love story, the music, the locations, the cast, everything was great. I had seen Amanda Seyfried in Mamma Mia and I loved seeing her. Now I was glad to see her again and I am looking forward to seeing more of her. I also loved seeing Vanessa Redgrave. I think she is a great actress and still so beautiful!

Happy Homemaker Monday - after a looooong time not doing it!

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Hot, cloudy and a bit of rain.

Things that make me happy:
Special moments with family and friends.

Book I'm reading:
Women Helping Women: A Biblical Guide to Major Issues Women Face, Elyse Fitzpatrick and Carol Cornish

What I'm enjoying on TV:
Nothing at all!

On the menu for dinner:
Just soup and fruit.

On my To Do List:
Just some phonecalls because the day is already coming to an end.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
No new recipes.

In the craft basket:
Nothing, but I desperately need to start doing something.

Looking forward to this week:
Going to the beach. This summer, we've only been there twice.

Tips and Tricks:
Nothing.

My favorite blog post this week:
If you read my previous post, you'll see I haven't been doing any blog reading lately. Next week I will probably choose a favourite blog post.

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
Read post above

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):
My Mum took some photos last week that I would probably like to share but I still haven't seen them.

Lesson learned the past few days:
That, even knowing that I so often fail as a mother, God's grace is immense and I can see that in my daughter's life all the time. I'll probably write something about that one of these days.

On my mind:
My Granny coming to live with us next week. Our lives will have a huge change, I know it will not be easy but it will surely be very rewarding, and I'm looking forward to it.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2

No more Facebook

After a long time pretending that Facebook was not taking control over my life, I finally listened to what God was telling me and cancelled my Facebook account. For the last 2 or 3 weeks, I did not enter my FB account and I didn't miss it and even found out I was feeling more peaceful and having more time to what really matters. I assume I like FB but I don't know exactly why. I know I have discovered some «friends» from my school or scout times but most of them were not that important at the time and are surely not important now. We have nothing in common and they are really not my friends, though in FB we pretend we are. When I say important, I'm talking about importance in my life. As a Christian, I am supposed to love everyone with the love of Christ but not everyone will be my special friend or will have a special place in my life. I was spending too much time looking at other people's lives and not spending time with my family and my true friends. I stopped writing letters and e-mails to special friends, I stopped writing in my blog, something I like to do, I stopped reading those special blogs I used to visit. But I finally realized that I don't want this for my life.
