Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other): When children are grown, by Lady Lydia

Favorite photo from last week: I still don't have any photos to show you but as soon as possible, I'll show you photos and a video from this amazing weekend!

Lesson learned the past few days: That it is just wonderful to praise God and to know that He loves you unconditionally.

On my Prayer List: My family and every single person who is fighting against cancer.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Psalm 139
1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.
19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
and abhor those who rise up against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Eurovision Song Contest / Festival Eurovisão da Canção

Last night I watched the Eurovision Song Contest and unfortunately, Portugal didn't get a good place and I didn't like the song that won, which was from Norway. My favourite one was from Sweden but they didn't get a good result either. I think it was even worst than ours!

Todas as ruas do amor - Flor-de-lis

Flor-de-Lis
"Todas as ruas do amor"

"Se sou tinta Tu és tela
Se sou chuva És aguarela
Se sou sal És branca areia
Se sou mar És maré-cheia
Se sou céu És nuvem nele
Se sou estrela És de encantar
Se sou noite És luz para ela
Se sou dia És o luar
Sou a voz Do coração
Numa carta Aberta ao mundo
Sou o espelho D’emoção
Do teu olhar Profundo
Sou um todo Num instante
Corpo dado Em jeito amante
Sou o tempo Que não passa
Quando a saudade Me abraça
Beija o mar O vento e a lua
Sou um sol Em neve nua
Em todas as ruas Do amor
Serás meu E eu serei tua
Se sou tinta Tu és tela
Se sou chuva És aguarela
Se sou sal És branca areia
Se sou mar És maré cheia
Se sou céu És nuvem nele
Se sou estrela És de encantar
Se sou noite És luz para ela
Se sou dia És o luar
Beija o mar O vento e a lua
Sou um sol Em neve nua
Em todas as ruas Do amor
Serás meu E eu serei tua"

It's raining again.... / Está outra vez a chover....

When I wrote the title of this post, this music came to my mind. It's one of my favourite musics. And yes, it's raining again! I do like rain but I'm tired of rain. I want sunny days, not too hot though. Human beings are so demanding! We are never satisfied with what we have. I have to remind myself every single day that my physical circumstances ought to be treated only as secondary to my spiritual necessities. I have so much to be thankful for and "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). And now that I have finished writing this post, the sun is starting to shine!!!

Quando escrevi o título desta mensagem, lembrei-me desta música.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other): She was the most influential woman in my life!, by Sandra
Favorite photo from last week: No photos last week!

Lesson learned the past few days: That when someone hurts you, you should always tell that person what you're feeling because often that person doesn't even know that she has hurt you. I like people to do that with me but sometimes I'm not very good at doing it.
On my Prayer List: My family and all families
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses: Romans 12: 1I therefore urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercies, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices that are holy and pleasing to God, for this is the reasonable way for you to worship. 2Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God's will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect.
3For by the grace given to me I ask every one of you not to think of yourself more highly than you should think, rather to think of yourself with sober judgment on the measure of faith that God has assigned each of you. 4For we have many parts in one body, but these parts do not all have the same function. 5In the same way, even though we are many people, we are one body in the Messiah and individual parts connected to each other. 6We have different gifts based on the grace that was given to us. So if your gift is prophecy, use your gift in proportion to your faith. 7If your gift is serving, devote yourself to serving others. If it is teaching, devote yourself to teaching others. 8If it is encouraging, devote yourself to encouraging others. If it is sharing, share generously. If it is leading, lead enthusiastically. If it is helping, help cheerfully.9Your love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to each other with mutual affection. Excel at showing respect for each other. 11Never be lazy in showing such devotion. Be on fire with the Spirit. Serve the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in trouble, and persistent in prayer. 13Supply the needs of the saints. Extend hospitality to strangers.
14Bless those who persecute you. Keep on blessing them, and never curse them. 15Rejoice with those who are rejoicing. Cry with those who are crying. 16Live in harmony with each other. Do not be arrogant, but associate with humble people. Do not think that you are wiser than you really are.
17Do not pay anyone back evil for evil, but focus your thoughts on what is right in the sight of all people. 18If possible, so far as it depends on you, live in peace with all people. 19Do not take revenge, dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me. I will pay them back, declares the Lord.” 20But “if your enemy is hungry, feed him. For if he is thirsty, give him a drink. If you do this, you will pile burning coals on his head.” 21Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

The Lake District

And after watching Miss Potter, I decided to learn more about The Lake District, just a «small» part of a country I absolutely love! You can see more here.

Miss Potter - The Road to Home

Beatrix Potter

Unfortunately, DD is not feeling well once again. She is having frequent headaches and I will probably take her to the doctor tomorrow. Please pray for her. She fell asleep and I decided to watch Miss Potter. I love Beatrix Potter's drawings and stories but knew nothing about her life. I loved the film!

Mother's Day / Dia da Mãe

Yesterday it was Mother's Day here in Portugal and we had a very good time in family. As the weather was great, we also went for a walk and took some pictures.

Emma Grace

I've been visiting Heather's blog for more than a year and although we've never met in person and I don't comment very often on her blog, for me, Heather and her family are already part of my family and I pray for them daily. She is really a great woman and a true christian. And Emma is a miracle of God. Just watch this video and visit this amazing family on http://especiallyheather.com/
